Eric Jordan Young is an accomplished Entertainer, Director, Producer, Choreographer, Playwright, and Songwriter with TV, Broadway (Ragtime '98, Ragtime '09, Chicago, Seussical, Look of Love), Off-Broadway (NYSF, Lincoln Center, The Public), Regional (Kennedy Center, Alliance Theater, Signature Theatre), National Tour (Chicago, Ragtime, Dreamgirls), and Commercial credits. Eric's most recent projects include the critically acclaimed Kennedy Center production of Guys & Dolls, and several new works including the new musicals Vanishing Girl, and The Last Show.
Eric is a Helen Hayes Award recipient, and his one-man musical Sammy & Me is the winner of the ArtVoice Award and Salt Award. He was recently in a featured role with Usher during his residency at Caesar's Palace. Eric's other Las Vegas performances include Cocktail Cabaret (Caesars Palace), Rock of Ages (Venetian/Rio), Shankin' - Vegas Remixed with a Twist (Planet Hollywood), Chicago (Mandalay Bay), Starlight Express (Las Vegas Hilton) and Vegas! The Show. Eric served as the Resident Director of Bay (Venetian/Palazzo) and loves working as a Creative Director for original projects including Renegades at Caesars Palace and Drag Supper Club. Eric has worked with the world's most renowned directors, including Frank Galati, Graciela Daniele, Scott Ellis, Michael Greif, Rob Marshall, and Casey Nicholaw.
Eric has performed with several symphonies throughout the country, including the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, the Atlanta Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, and his solo album Once in a Lifetime was produced with Lorenzo Toppano, and released by his own production company, EnJoY! Productions. Eric is the Associate Director for the Norwegian Cruise Line production of Footloose and the immersive production of Rock of Ages in Hollywood, CA. Eric is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the BFA Acting and Musical Theater programs at Long Island University - Post.
